DIOS PROTECTION CENTER provides the funding and mentoring for PEQUENOS HERMANOS Children’s Home in Ensenada, Mexico. Our vision is to provide a safe and loving environment that focuses on developing children to reach their potential as responsible self-supporting citizens with love for God and their fellow human beings. The children we care for in Ensenada are abandoned or separated from their families. They are subjects of poverty due to the country’s economic conditions. Many are victims of abuse and come from broken homes as a result of drugs, prostitution and alcoholism. These children are left to fend for themselves, scrounging in the trash or begging for food and clothing. They are exposed to the dark side of life at this very vulnerable time in their lives. Often they are not educated because they cannot pay for a uniform. Pastor Ernesto and Elsa Cordero and Missionaries Jay and Joan Wyche began a ministry for the children of Ensenada, Mexico. This ministry identified a great need to provide a warm, safe, loving environment for children in need. |
